Processing Centres for 2023

In 2023 Operation Christmas Child will have Processing Centres in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, and Hamilton New Zealand. Dates and locations of processing centres will be announced closer to National Collection.

Before the millions of shoebox gifts collected each year can bring hope and joy to children around the world, each one has to be carefully inspected and made ready for international shipment by volunteers like you. We need volunteers in many roles such as serving in one of our processing centres, driving and container loading.

What Role Might Be A Fit?

Processing Centre Volunteers

There are a range of jobs to be completed from checking shoeboxes, to packing outer cartons and filling shipping containers. Tasks will be allocated when you check-in, and training will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and enclosed footwear, and bring a water bottle and your own food.

Drivers

During the weeks surrounding National Collection, volunteer drivers collect boxes from schools, churches and businesses and drop them into Processing Centres using their own vehicle or hired van.

Container Loaders

Be part of the final link in the Australian and New Zealand shoebox chain, loading and praying over cartons of processed shoeboxes into shipping containers, bound to bring great joy to children around the world.
